Chris brings to the role more than two decades of experience in strategic management, business development and financial services.
As CEO, Chris is responsible for leading the strategic direction of the business. He takes a hands-on approach to advising and supporting the team to achieve the company’s mission of becoming the leading independent provider of information on education and career pathways for students, jobseekers and their advisers.
Chris began his career as a small business owner, operating Frankston Pizza. He entered the corporate sector in 1999 where he held roles in audit and transactional services at KPMG — an eight-year tenure that saw him undertake secondments in Dublin and New York. Upon leaving KPMG, Chris worked in investment banking at Citigroup, advising large Australian and international corporates.
Chris has since held leadership and directorship roles at Segura, ECAL and Strategic Growth Enterprises. He was drawn to the education sector through his involvement with online job board SpotJobs, and a passion for technology and start-ups.
He is excited by the opportunities ahead for the Good Education Group — while it is an established business, he believes it will grow and flourish by applying start-up principles. Chris takes pride in working in a sector focused on helping people to improve their outcomes and ensuring that young Australians have the skills required for a continually evolving job market.
When not spending time with his family, Chris can be found working on his short game on the golf course, watching the horse racing (he’s also a licenced bookmaker) or planning his next holiday.
Chris is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from Finsia.
